   *.psd files are the Adobe Photoshop default file extension - you will need, at least, Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to open them. Other imaging programs may open them too, like Paint Shop Pro, but I don't have that loaded to my m/c

   Irfanview, which is free, can view psd file. There are links to download it and its plugins (which you will need) here.
