    Question for creating a shortcut

Hello everyone! I just have a quick question: Does anyone know how to create a shortcut directly to the recording level controls? I'm tired of going to the volume control, clicking on properties and selecting "Recording" JUST to adjust the line-in level. lol

SO - If anyone knows how to access that control directly, I'd appreciate it if ya'd let me know how! Thanks in advance :-D

    WOO HOO!!

Just by sheer luck, I figured it out by myself.... The executable that brings up the control panel is sndvol32.exe -- Well, just for the heck of it, I decided to try it with a switch "/rec" -- And it worked! So - I hope maybe someone else out there finds this useful... I know I sure will!

Enter this in the "run dialog box" or create a shorcut with this as the command:

    sndvol32 /rec

Thanks for posting the answer to your own question - for the benefit of others I've edited the thread title to be more specific.

Ridiculously long time since this was posted, but I found out you only need /r for it to work, in WinXP anyway...

A neat tweak to do when the sound volume comes up is to hit CTRL-S and in small Hit it again and it goes back to full size.
