My IBM pc (with W98) has 2 USB ports which I am using for my printer and my cable modem. I'd like to add a scanner witha USB-type output cable.

Can I add additional USB ports? How?

    Thanks ... wdc

Get hold of a USB hub - various number of ports, powered and unpowered. Powered hub probably best, but be aware that some hardware items do not like running off a hub. One of your existing USB ports will be need to plug the hub into.

The alternative is to fit a plug in USB card - fits a PCI slot and generally has a couple of USB ports. Neater :)
