I get the page OK, but on the bottom bar it says done with errors.

So they must have some non standard code, but then you have a older IE.

    Try the following:
    1. Repair IE
    2. Update IE (yes you are better to repair first)
    3. Get latest MSJAVA
    4. Get latest DirectX

You should do all of the above anyway but you can check for problem resolution after each step and quit then if you want!

    Some links:

    Java and Java Tests

Both Microsoft and Sun Java can be installed but the Browser can use only the one selected in Advanced.

MS Java and/or Sun Java here: <http://www2.whidbey.com/djdenham/VM.htm>

    Java Test <http://www.pocoso.de/pocoso052.html>

    Java Test http://www.clan.lib.ri.us/clan/javatest.html

    Java Test http://www.javatester.org/enabled.html

    Java Test http://www.albany.net/~rubergd/example1.html

DirectX 80.a is the highest for win 95, the link:

Reinstall the MS Virtual Machine (available here) or install Sun's Java. Either should fix the problem.

    HTH.

    upgraded java to 3810

Have upgraded the java to 3810 but the problem still persists
when i try to load the page the small selection boxes appear for a second or so but then disappear and just leave the blue rectangular box.

Having re-installed MSVM, try once more to repair IE.

    Still having problems

I have tried IE repair again but i am still getting the same error message about the file shdocvw.dll
It seems strange that the small boxes on the page start to appear and then just disappear leaving just the blue box.

I have just re-installed IE 5.5 over the original program but it did not seem to help

I'm totally outta ideas. Sorry. Suggest that, unless somebody else has some ideas, you try posting this problem to MS's IE newsgroup.
