I have just upgraded to Win XP.
IT has decided to put some of my pics from my "My Pictures" folder into where one can apply the actual background picture for the desktop.
Can anyone please tell me how I can delete some of these from there?
    Thanks,
    Jerry:rolleyes:

Take a look in C:\Windows - they should be there - in the Windows folder itself, not a sub folder. At least that is where the desktop image that I use is situated - and that's where I put it :)

Right click on your desktop, choose properties and then desktop. If you select browse, you can navigate to wherever the pictures are. By default, "My Pics" will show up, so if that's where you put them, should be easy.

If you want to delete pics, open Windows explorer, navigate to where they are stored, highlight the ones you wish to be rid of and delete. Hold down the control key for multiple highlights. (You can toggle the folder button for the blue screen or right click for the delete option)

I have a folder with about 1700 pics that I use as a screensaver through "My Pics Slideshow "...yeah, I know, an enormous waste of resources, but I have a T-bird, and I don't care. Through the "browse" feature under the screensaver tab of the aforementioned properties box, you can retrieve your storage folder for that option from anywhere. FWIW, any pic you decide to use on your desktop should be fairly small in file size (under 100K) or your desktop may get goofy now and then. JME.
