I use SpeedFan to monitor my CPU fan and one case fan. I would also like to monitor the speeds of my other case fan and PSU fan, yet my mobo only has two fan inputs available. Does anyone know of a product that would allow monitoring more than two fan speeds? I can either mount this totally internally or externally and monitor through a software program, or I could mount it in my 1 open 3.5" bay. These Smart Fan IIs are very noisy, so I'd like to slow them down when I'm not stressing my system. It would be easier if I could identify the ideal fan speeds for each fan, then just adjust to that number as my usage changes. It would be even easier if I could preprogram a series of fan speeds, based on usage, then just push a button to change to that preprogrammed setting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've run across the Aerogate II ALD-V02, which would seem to do the trick, except it needs a 5.25" bay. Isn't there anyone who has found a need for this or run across something that does this?
I emailed Alfredo Milani-Comparetti at SpeedFan, to see if my other fans could somehow be connected to SpeedFan, but he never bothered to respond to my email.

Honestly, Barry, I don't think you'll find alot of case cooling junkies in these forums. What you're talking about would be sweet. I go into the BIOS to monitor my Smart Case Fan II but after a while you get to be able to judge the RPMs just by the pitch...but that's with 1, not 2 fans. I just wish the "pot" wire was long enough to reach outside the case but it's not for me. I have to remove the side door to adjust it.

If you're using a second Smart Case Fan II as a case fan, I'd turn that one way down or, as I'm sure you know, you'll have an orchestra in there! The top rpm of that fan is WAY above your typical case fan.

You might want to try the Case and Cooling forum over at www.amdforums.com . Alot of "cooling junkies" and modheads over there.

Thanks for your input. I had forgotten about the amd forum.
I run my "pot" wire out the front for my intake and run it out the back for my exhaust. I assumed that the temps would be coolest with a slight positive case pressure, but have found that increasing my exhaust from that point actually lowers the temps more. Maybe it changes the air current in the case.
Any other input would also be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Barry
