control+alt+del computer not responding

    hi guys i have problem when i want end programme by using ctrl+alt+del computer becomes hang and no respond and then i have to restart like when i m working on the floppy and open power point documents so i want to close when i press ctrl+alt+del it's become hang why this happen and how's to solve this that ctrl+alt+del can be use to end task of programme.

    Hi z4u, Just a some questions ...
    1) down at the bottom of your screen, next to the clock,
    what applications are running ?
    2) do you wait a couple of minutes or so after the CTRL+ALT+DEL ?
    3) If you close all tray applications and THEN use CTRL+ALT+DEL
    what happens ?

    okey the down application are runing avg quick player yahoo,msn
    and when i press ctrl+alt+del the computer hang no respones and windows stop during ctrl+alt+alt so any action happen after pressing so finaly i restart.
