    in Windows 2000 server

I'm on limited shared bandwidth and would like to limit my maximum bandwidth usage to 30kbs.

you can limit the max bandwidth in IIS but when u save the settings and download a file u use the max bandwidth and the 30kbs i told it to cut off at it doesn't stop and uses the full bandwidth.

any ideas, to fix it so it stops at 30kbs and dosent go over????

    thanks in advanced

You "shouldn't" need to do this, but it is worth giving it a try. Have you tried stopping and restarting the service or the site again?

    Questions

    - How many IP addresses do you have on the IIS server?
    - Are you accessing the site by name or by IP?
    - How did you configure the site pertaining to the name and IP? By name or by IP or both?
    - Is it set to an actual IP address or left as <All Unassigned>?
    - How many web sites do you have configured on the server connected to the same subdirectory?
