I'm having Problems Copying,Pasting and Moveing Files Arround my Desktop and Other Folders. When I select Copy/Cut and then Paste the Paste Option is Disabled as If it has not Copied or Cut the Files in the First Place. I also have problems when I try to Move Folders and Files Arround the Desktop.
However if I restart my PC it Seems to Come ok again. for a While and then I get the same problem all over again.

I Installed Service Pack 3 on to my PC yesterday but This was happening before I did that.

Has anyone else seen this problem before and does anyone have any idea how I might fix it. Its getting really annoying.

    Thanks

If the problem only occurs some time after your computer is running, I would suspect a heating problem. Crack open the case after shutting down and pulling the power plug, then clean out all of the dust you will surely find in there. After that, plug the computer in and restart with the case open. Have a look at the little fan that sits on top of the CPU on the motherboard and make sure it is turning. If not, you will have to replace it (not very expensive).
There is a neat little utility (free for personal use) called MotherBoard Monitor available at http://mbm.livewiredev.com/. Download and install it. It's kind of tricky to configure, but once you get it going it will give you real-time readings of your various temperatures and fan speeds.

Turns Out that I've got a Virus on my PC called W32.Welchia.Worm. Every Time I connected to the Internet I kept getting an error message Complaining about a SVChost.exe. I discovered last Night That Copy,Paste and Move Stopped Working after this error message was popping up. On Updating my Virus Definitions and running a Full System scan I discovered this Virus.

For anyone that having simillar Problems or has this Virus on there PC see www.bitdefender.com/html/virusinfo.php?menu_id=1&v_id=151# for information on how to get rid of it and How to download a patch from Mircosoft to provent it.

Thanks for the Information regarding Overheating Motherboards I've downloaded that application I'll give it a try as well

    Thanks for everyones Help
