    I can't remember if my memory is parity or non-parity. Is there any way I can find out without actually opening up my computer and yanking it out to look?

    Shadowhawk,

    AIDA32 will tell you if your memory is ECC or not as will Sandra.

    I downloaded the Aida program and while I'm impressed with all the info it gives, it didn't say anything about parity or non-parity.

    Well, :eek::eek:

    I'm not sure what I was thinking - I responded about ECC and you were asking about parity; related but different.

    ECC is newer than Parity and since you have DDR RAM I would guess that if your memory did have error correcting/reporting it would use ECC technology rather than Parity

    However, thiis line from the report that AIDA gave would seem to indicate that your RAM isn't using Parity or ECC.

    Of course, as you pointed out the only sure way may be to crack the case.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding,

    Cheers,

    ICE
