    Hi All,
i have some movies i transferred from VHS to play in my DVD player, but the avi files are too large to burn onto a regular 700mb cd. is there any programs out there that will shorten the mb w/o losing a lot of quality.

    thanks Brad

Do .avi files play on a DVD player? I usally make the VCR tapes to an mpeg1 file. I then split the file with TMPEnc. It works quite well. I use VCDEasy to burn the discs.
