I know going to control panel --> display --> and changing the screensaver is one way to change it. Is there another way to do the same thing, possibly through registry?

Thanks for the reply, but perhaps I am not being clear. I would like to avoid that menu altogether and change it another way. Either command line, registry settings, etc. My selection drop-down is fixed and I cannot change it.

I just checked and every screensaver that I have installed is listed in the registry.

And there is no other way other than the Desktop properties to change it that I know of.

I do have an easier way but I do not think it is available any more. And is not supposed to work in XP but it does just fine.

The Program that I refer to is named SSSwitch. I have had it since the days of Win95. and it works great. You can start/stop or change ScreenSavers right from the lower right corner of the
    screen.

PLus it has a few other things that it will do.

I will take a look see is I can find it again.

BillyBob.. Would ScrnSaveSwitch Plus be the program your looking for. The link on the page for HOME/Download does not work. The author does have a email address on the bottom of the page if anyone is interested.

Yes. That is what I am refering to.

I also ran into some dead ends.

Apparently it is no longer available.

And it is as great little piece of software too.

    You are welcome.

I myself have had it since the days of Win95.
