ie6 removing problem

hi i have installed win98 sec and i update ie6 and working very fine but i got problem when i click on link of any link site it's showing in url blank addess and takes time to load so i stop browse and refresh and it browse very fast so now every time when i click on link it's goes into long time browsing an don't showing address in address bar and i stop and refresh so i got headache from this,l any one help what's wrong with it i have already checked from virus,trojan and regsitry cleaner i try to uninstall into previous ie5 when i go to add remove properties and click for remove so windows comes for ie6 and internet tools there are three option
1. add a component
2. repair ie
3. restore the prvious windows configuration but this option is diable i can't click to remove for previous ie5 and i already tried for repair but no result and another thing in add remove programme so unistall softaware still shwoing there but it's not in windows any more so what's the suggestion how can we remove these programe which is already install and where we can find these configuration on win98 sec and where it store can any tell me.
now it's war ..................

 

i m not sure that ie5 still not installed i try to find folder but no more in computer and i upgrade ie5 to ie6 it's works fine but the problem is when i click link it's going into for long loading browse but when i stop and refresh it's load very fast so everytime when i click on link 1st i stop and then refresh so i want to get rid of this can u tell me what's is this?

Hello


First, make sure IE is set as your default browser. Go to IE tools/internet options/programs and turn on the check box for IE to check if it is the default browser. Click OK, Shut down and restart IE. When it asks to be default browser, say yes.

If the box is already checked, UNcheck it, and click OK.
Now close your browser, restart the computer, go back there and REcheck the box. Once again click OK, close your browser and reboot one last time.
Windows sometimes needs some persuading.

This is absolutely vital if your hyperlinks are to work.

Also do the following:

Go to Start/Run, and type each line separately, followed by clicking OK:

regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll

After each time you click OK, you should get a dialog box notifying you that your dll has been registered successfully.

After registering all dlls, reboot, and see whether that has fixed the problem.

It should, but if no joy, have a look at this MS article:

Confirm for us what version you do have, it seems in doubt.
On IE's toolbar go help> about MS IE
write down everything please,, except product ID,,,
but tell us that there is one, and include the Q numbers




PS>>> get SPYBOT and ADAWARE , install them update them restart PC then scan with them.please remove any spyware mailware etc etc found
there is an option within each program to update.
the first is contributeware/free second has a free version.
Or possible you have these already ?

PS try the microsofts link again,, lost of people had problems accessing MSN and the KB ,, sundry other ms sites recently but
that seams to be fixed,, specificaly any connection service that uses or routd through aol time warner

okey after that i installed addware /spyboot and deleted everyhting i got it from them and reset but still same problem not solved so now what's is ur suggestion any expert does know about it?

hi jones! it seems we are trying so hard untill we suceded and hopefuly we will there is not big thing from humand if computer think it's like that noway .
k 1st i explain about my sentence which i post last time actually i used spware/addaware and scan computer from these softwares during scaning i got some infected files so i deleted by using these softwares and then i reset=(restart)computer but still not solved k it's explaination about previous and now explore not seems blank during browsing it's just a problem of when i click on link like u send me a link to read when i click it's browsing but not taking any action in explorer addres nothing showing then i just stop and then refresh when i stop address come in address bar and then refresh it load the page k...i read the article down one:-

i checked every thing is correct and right ..
Scroll down to the URL:Hypertext Transfer Protocols, click edit twice and make sure the following is in the application used to perform action box:

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\iexplore.exe" -nohome

The same applies for URL:Gopher

DDE should be set to: "%1 ",,-1,0,,,,
Application should say: IExplore
DDE application not running should be blank
Topic should be: WWW_OpenURL
all these setting are correct as discuss above and after that i
run these command
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll

regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll

all suceeded but still i m in same problem any solid idea....

I don't know if Ive mentioned it yet,, have you used the default buttons on both (in IE option) > security and advanced
with advanced after setting to default you need to uncheck
[ ]enable install on demand 9other)
[ ] reuse windows for launching shortcuts
then apply and OK don't use the x button

there were more than two files to regsvr32.
did you do them all ?
What mail service are you using, one of the online services or ,offline (like OE or ,maybe outlook.? Incorrect terms but you get my meaning.
is OE set as default and should be using the restricted zone..

You could get a trial Trojan remover, most can be updated till the trial period runs out ,, HOPE you have a good anti virus program.

WHAT registry cleaner? they are dangerous and in most cases not nessesary!!!!!
where are you from , do you natively speak some other language

after cleaning up with SpyBot and Adaware , connect to Internet
then do (don't yet start other programs) now run SpyBot and Adaware again do they now have things to fix again ?

just now u ask about this regsvr32 i just type same command on run then it shows erro message when i run this command regsvr32
error!!!
no dll name specifies mean without using dll extension so may be that's y ...
k and now another problem i want to mention i haven't mention previously when i usually click like live radio link or etc when i link a popup windows comes up but it's not loading just show blank usually when i link it open radio player or media player to play live songs but it's opening in blank windows .. that's all can any body describe or suggest what's the reason and why is it happening and what's solution.

i m using internet explorer i don't use oe
and i m not using kaaza or file sharing programe and my pc is virus clean and trojan i have already checked there is no suspicious virus or trojan.

But lets stay away from the media players problems for now.
Have you been to pacsportal or another startup web site ?

I think we need a WIN 98 EXPERT,
Might be something you had installed before the upgrade,,

What did you upgrade from ?
if it was win 95 I can see there may be some minor problems.
Do you have a popup blocker >
firewall ?
anything third party that monitors script's of any kind

Finally, BHODemon is an excellent troubleshooting programme, available at

sorry wrong sentence i didnt install win98sec it's already installed and update ie6 when i bought ,
it's p4 intel,40 gb maxtor hard disk, 128 mb ram,asus motherboard,
i didn't upgrade it already installed and i don't have any popupblocker last time i was using addpopup blocker and i have already unistalled long time ago, and i don't have firewall i m using avg7 antivirus software.
regsrv32 shdoc401.dll this command was sucessful.
