I have Windows XP on my computer. Can anyone tell me specifically how to raise or lower the sound volume (or mute the sound) on my computer? Thank you very much.

    Hi abx
Have you tried double clicking the speaker icon down by the clock and seeing what you can adjust with that?

    Hi ABX
If the speaker icon is not by the clock then you can put it there by opening control panel and selecting sounds and audio devices. Put a check in the box "Place volume icon in the task bar ". Then click apply. You should now have a speaker icon in the task bar, just double click on the icon and your away!
