A Good Imaging Software

    Hi,

    I am trialing Acronis True Image and allthough it seems to work well I wanted to find out if there might be something better or more reasonably priced. Can any one maybe make a few suggestions?

    I use Norton Ghost - works well for me, but does not do incremental or differential backups - just the whole partition.

    Also use Karen's Replicator to automatically back up my data drive to another drive on a daily basis - freeware and configurable. Check it out.

    If you are on XP try out the backup facility there.

    I've used Norton Ghost (now 2003) for years and thought it was fine until I had seriously problems with it and began looking for a replacement. Out of curiosity I tried Drive Image 2000 and after a couple of trial runs, went back to Ghost. Finally, I tried Acronis True Image 6.0 and immediately found that it was far superior to the other two. And with the "Ghost Special ", $9.99, I couldn't resist. I've been using it every since with nothing but satisfaction for its speed and error-free operation. The newest build is now 350.
