I have got these 2 error messages, not sure what to do:

    1. Can't open instdll.dll

    2. Error loading gspndll.dll A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed (This was after I cut and pasted this missing file into the proper folder i.e. c:/windows/system32/

    Hi Fudgegirl

First suggestion (assuming you can boot up) is to run System File Checker - you may need your Win XP installation CD. Make a System Restore Point before doing this - just in case it fouls up :

Start > Programs > Accessores > System Tools > System Restore and check 'Create a Restore Point' > Next ...........

    Then :

Start > Run and type in sfc /scannow - note the space > OK.

    Post back with your results.

    PeteC,

I did as you said, upon scanning, windows didn't seem to come up with any problems because once the moving bar hit the end of the column, the window closed by itself.

Does this mean the problem is solved?

Possibly :) - unfortunately Windows doesn't 'post back' whether it made changes or not.

Do you still have the problem? Keep us posted on this.

Everything goes down good with a beer - except for cornflakes.

and no fudge brownies till it's done!:D

And yes, most things go nice with beer...just pick a less bitter one.
