how do I enable automatic dialup when opening Netscape 7.02?

I am using WinXP Home and Netscape 7.02.When I use my other browser,IE6, it automatically dials my ISP when I doubleclick onto IE icon.How do I get Netscape to do the same? IE6 is left as default browser as it came with the computer, and Netscape 7.02 was a later installation.Please advise.

enabling automatic dialup in Netscape

Ok,I went to Control panel>Administrative tools>Services and set the following services to Automatic as the Metzger article said to do:Remote access connection manager
Remote access autoconnection manager
Telephony
Butwhen I doubleclick on the Netscape icon the automatic dialup icon that comes up for IE6 doesn't appear,just a box saying that the Netscape homepage can't be found.No dialing occurs.What do I do now?

Did you add the script, as suggested by Holger, to your prefs.js file? If not, that would be my next suggestion:

user_pref( "network.autodial-helper.enabled ", true);

I would recommend backing up your prefs.js file before making the above edit.

Perhaps someone running Windows XP, and using DUN, will share their experience with you.

IE and autodialup

Will this method also work for IE6 and Windows XP? Someone told me you could not get it to autodial but it seems you can!

Yes autodialup is easy to setup in IE6.Tools>Internet Options>Connections ,then select "always dial my default connection" This function works fine in XP.
I am disappointed with Netscape7.02 not being able to setup this function as easily.
