Virus? win 2000

    When im starting up my other comp when its about to load the icons the computer restarts and will keep restarting it self! Help! :confused:

    Can you set the BIOS to boot first from a CD? If so, will it boot from the CD and can you get into the recovery console?

    Try booting to safe mode.

    If successful then cleanup temps, startups and start a chkdsk /r

    If you do not know how to do these things let us know.

    IOm not the best with windows 2000. How do get it in safe mode?

    Hit F8 when it's in DOS mode and says Starting Windows. Choose Safe Mode from there.
