Instal Laptop HD to my Desktop IDE Chain?

Hi,

I have a 20GB laptop IDE hard drive.

My question is,can I connect this drive to my desktop PCs IDE bus?

and if so how do I go about it ?any specific cables required or do I need to DIY it?

I don't have the drive with me at the moment so I can't be more specific with the details.
