I have over 800 contacts, 30%-40% of which I almost never use but don't want to delete. I categorise them and on my ipaq can set the categories I want to view so that I don't have to view these seldom used ones.

However using Outlook Contacts on my PC there doesn't seem any way to segregate them so that I have to search through all 800.

Is there a way to do this on the PC?

In Outlook 2000, which may be the same as 2002, open the Contacts folder then click on the Organze button. If you don't have the button, look under View for Organize.

From there, you can add selected contacts to whatever category you choose.

If that doesn't do what you want, just make new subfolders under contacts and move contacts into the appropriate folder.

You make a new folder by right clicking on the Contacts folder and choosing New. Name it what you want then drag contacts into it.
