I have a NT 4.0 workstation w/SP6 on a domain, I want to upgrade to Win2K Pro. I need to keep all settings and users including programs, documents, profiles, etc.
What are the steps to proceed with this.

    TIA
    Tim

Just upgrade, put in the Win2k CD and choose to upgrade. It will keep all of your settings. You do have to be logged in as a local administrator before the upgrade will work, but your computer account will remain the same in your domain.

    Hi Eric,

The first time I did this I lost my settings. What I did was to boot to the Upgrade CD, which then gave me 3 options 1) To use folder and delete the exsisting windows installation press "L" 2) To use a different folder press "ESC" or to quit.

Log in as administrator and run the CD from within NT 4.0, do I use winnt or winnt32
    Thanks
    Tim
