    Hey all,
    I use Beonex Communicator 0.82 Stable. www.beonex.com
It is based on Mozilla 1.0.2, and is very similar to Netscape 7.02. It has profiles, and a prefs.js file.

One question is, how do I save my preferences and profile. I want it so that if I ever have to reinstall Beonex I can still keep all my preferences and master passwords and all data I filled in. It has a profiles folder in c:\windows\application data\beonex\Profiles.

My second question is. Whenever I go to view, and show hide and tell it to show my personal toolbar, which has my home and print button it works fine. However, when I close it, the bar is hidden again and I have to go to show/hide again and click on the personal toolbar each and everytime I open Beonex.

Is there a way to fix these problems? If anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it.

    Kevin

PLEASE NOTE: I have found a fix/workaround for this. It appears that when you have it so that the tab bar is hidden when there is only one tab open, the personal toolbar doesn't appear unless you go to view and show/hide. But if you tell it to show the tab bar in the preferences under tabbing, the personal toolbar appears next time I start Beonex. Is this a bug? Is there still a way to have my personal toolbar appear even when the tab bar is hidden?

    Hi Kevin,

Glad to see that you managed to figure out your personal toolbar problem. Sorry, but Beonex is one browser I have never attempted to use, altho I have heard good things about the browser.

For backing up your Profile files, since Beonex 0.8.2 is based on the Mozilla 1.0.2 branch, then back up the same way you back up Netscape... You may find better feedback HERE
