I would like for MSN IM not to load at all when i start OE. I have log on disabled.

Seems like i fixed this before in Tools/Windows Messenger/Options now i click options and nothing happens.

When i launch OE, MSNIM starts to run, not log on but run and then i get an error message. If i choose to have it log on it works fine, but i do not want it to load or logon. If i want that i will do it myself.

MSNMSGR caused an invalid page fault in
    module <unknown> at 0000:010c0255.

This only happened since updating to MSN IM 6. Like i said i cannot get into Windows messenger options from within OE like i could before.

    Thanks Zinco

    Hi zinco

I don't know why your getting the error message.
But if you want to stop MSN IM messenger from loading when you start Outlook Express
    do this.

Click Start/Run, in the open field type REGEDIT and click OK.
    Navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express
    Click the Outlook Express folder.
In the Right pane right click in an empty spot and select New>DWORD Value.
Name the New Value Hide Messenger.
Now double click on Hide Messenger.
Change the Value Data: to 2 and click OK.

Always backup the Registry before making changes.

  3. to hide this advert.

wow thanks alot picard. learn more and more every day....... well i don't know what i did but i did learn more and it worked.

the error has something to do with not being able to access messenger options in OE. I do not know if that is my problem or a OE/IM prob.

    thanks again

    Glad it worked.
As to the error message, you might try removing IM6
    and reinstalling it.
