New BSOD for me

I updated my VIA drivers yesterday & got rid of kbdclass errors. Now when I reboot or shut down I get a bsod with, drive power state failure. Nothing in event viewer, but info events. Any clues?

Try and capture the blue screen. sysinternals has a program call bluesave that will capture that information for you. This should help us out some in determing what the problem is. Chances are it just a kernel mode driver problem, but w/o looking at it, I couldn't tell you.

It seems as if I have a bad update w/my IDE drivers, not sure how to get out of it.
If I delete in device man. it'll install a MS driver when it reboots.

I searched around for "BlueSave" and found that it has been discontinued. Anyother software out there, preferably free, that you know of?

Maybe I'm dense but I can't find "BlueSave" on this page...The only "Blue..." I can find is the "Bluescreen" link.

Bluescreen is a screen saver using the BSOD...

 

I just kinda thought that was the one he was referring to.
OK well I got the error info. by unchecking auto reboot.

Looks like the original product was discontinued, that's to bad, because it worked well, but here is another product.

 

I updated the drivers from ViaArena, in safemode. Still getting a Bsod stop error on restart or shutdwn.
& Kdbclass in event viewer. Will try the Abit drivers in safemode. If no go will format. Thanks BB

Good news

I uninstalled Photo shop7, Studio MX, & Screens & themes. At this time no Bsod or Kbdclass in event viewer.
So with fingers crossed, (MAYBE) happy days are here again.
