I have tried to copy & paste, that doesn't work. When I try that, I am able to copy the image on to the clipboard, but when I go to the email signature area to change text and try to paste, the cut-copy-paste bars on IE are greyed out and not useable.....

devildog#4--Assuming you are using Outlook Express and all you want to do is insert the .jpg file into the signature area, here is what OE's Help says
"To insert a picture into a message

Click the place in the message where you want the image to appear.
On the Insert menu, click Picture, and then click Browse to find the image file.
Enter Layout and Spacing information for the image file as needed.

    Notes:
If you cannot select the Picture command, make sure HTML formatting is turned on by clicking the Format menu in the message window and then clicking Rich Text (HTML). A black dot appears by the command when it is selected. "
If, however, you want to create an official OE "Signature" containing the .jpg file, that is more complicated. Post back.
Also have a look in OE Help.

To make a signature file with a graphic that will add the same signature to every email either automatically or when you click Insert>Signature, you have to make an HTML file.

Just set up the signature in a word processor the way you want it, complete with the graphic, then save it as an HTML file.

Then, in Outlook Express, go to Tools>Options>Signature tab, click the Add button, check the box next to "File" and browse to the file you just saved, click OK. If you want it to add that signature to every email you send out, put a check in that option as well.

To add the signature manually after setting all that up, after typing the message, go to Insert>Signature and select the one you want.

    I've tried them all...

nothing works yet. I am using IE5.5 to access our website's email program, which is called "open webmail ". I have tried the obvious copy & paste, cut & paste, Control V, etc. Any other suggestions?

devildog#4--Sounds like you are going to have to ask your email service provider (probably same as ISP) how to do it, since you are not using OE or another standard email program.

You may have to paste in a bit map of your signature. I've opened graphics files and then done the old screendump to clipboard with <alt><PrtScn> to capture the window. Open msPaint from the Start>Run> (open) msPaint or from the normal Start>Programs>paint menu. Paste or <ctrl><v> the clipboard into Paint and select your signature. Copy and paste it into your email or save it for future use. There may be better ways but this always works!

    Good Luck
