I was given this IBM Think Pad Lap Top 600X series to do something with like get rid of the partitons that is on it. Now I did the FDISK and have deleted the partions but I can`t make it just one drive want to know how to do that. It was partioned into two drives C and D. I have them formatted but don`t know how to get it back into one drive or is it possible? It has one drive listed but only 18% how do I get the whole drive to be recognized and also how do I get into BIOS on this computer?

Here's a page with detailed explanations of FDISK. Possibly there was a switch that was missed.

    In depth guide to FDISK

    To access the BIOS:

If your 600X BIOS is anything like our 600E, there's not a whole lot you can do in there.

Well I do thank you for the info. I have gotten into the BIOS but like Cliffe said not a whole lot can be done in it. Most of the things I am unable to get into seems to me it is locked. Why I don`t know.
I have tried everything and still am unable to get the hard disk to show up just the 2gb that was partioned. I phoned IBM and was told that I needed the recovery disk so they are going to send me one but have no idea how long it will be before I get it.
Am not sure if I have to pay for it or not if I do will be $50. However it is still better than taking it to a tech as their prices are around $75.
Once I get the recovery disk will hope everything will work properly.
Will let you know just how things worked out in case any one has any problems like this.
IBM told me they could talk me through how to fix it for the cost of $75.00 so their has to be a way but am not really that familiar with notebooks so had better wait.
    Thanks for help
