On our network, I have a user who's printer spooler service stops on him at least 3 times a week. He swears that he's not doing anything out of the ordinary. Whenever he calls, I go to his desk and turn the service back on, once again allowing him to print. My question is this: What could be causing this service to just stop automatically like this? I have it set to start up automatically, so it SHOULD stay on when the computer is on, but it doesn't always. We have an anti-virus software at the server level, so I don’t think there’s a virus. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    What SP?

What do you see in the event logs that might pertain?

Have you tried opening a cmd window and running sfc /scannow to check for a bad system file?

There is nothing under Event Log that pertains to this error. I haven't tried running the system file checker yet, as the user is on vacation and I have no access to his PC, but I will as soon as he returns. Thanks for the help however.
