Cant change display from 16 color

Hey I need help. I cant get my display to change from 16 color. The only choices i have are 2 and 16. I just got a new hard drive and when i reinstalled win 98 it was like this. Anyone know what i can do to fix this. Thanks.

if you have updated the driver as the Administrator (errr I mean Staff, sorry I don't think I can give him that promotion) suggested then you are likey off that 'big' look on your screen.

Bet you didn't have the original configuration in you setting either??
you did check right? Right click empty space on desktop, select properties/settings


should it happen again, go into your my computer/properties/device manager // select display adapters/your driver...remove then reboot

the computer when start up will search again your file to find the driver reinstall it.
