i have an .avi file which is over 800MB and i need to put this on a CD-R. I am aware that i should put this file on 2 CDs.

To copy this file on 2 CDs, do i have to split the file first ? if yes which software do i need ?

    Thank you

Does your burning software support disk spanning? If it does - no problem ?

    Hello,

You can try first to shrink it more without quality loss with Dr.Divx.
Here you have a direct download link.

    good luck

I use HJ-Split a great freeware program to split my avi's and to put them back together. You can tell the program how large the "split" files should be. Works great.
