Is there a software program available that runs a "system inventory/diagnostic" on your pc. It would be handy to have info such as all hardware components maufacturer, model etc. Soft info such as bios rev, os rev etc would also be good.
I am in the process of having a couple computers built, and having what exactly is in the case (and checking what I requested) would be good info to have for future firmware upgrades and warranty questions.:)

thanks, I installed on this computer and ran it. I was very impressed, it gave me what I wanted and more.

Do you know of a good benchmark tool?

I believe Belarc Advisor will compare your computer's performance against a database of other computers and show the comparison.

reboot thanks, that looks like what I want. I want to be able to run the tests on a clean (new with minimal software installed) and then be able to run tests as the machines are used and more software is installed overtime to see the impact.
