Where in XP's Home version, is the computer management for local user and their groups. The Home version will not show this opotion, whereas Professional will. wmimgmt.msc and the WMI are blank. In the "Pro" version it is found by going to the control panel, administrative tools, computer management, system tools. I would greatly appreciate help on this as everyone had admin priv'ys and this is a no-no.....;(

    Very worried.....:(

    Hi Suzette

I don't have PRO, so this might not be what your looking for.
In the Run command type wmimgmt.msc and click OK.
In the WMI window Hi-light WMI and select Actions then Properties.

    Hi picard:

Thanks for replying, however, I've already gone there and they comes up blank. Pro gives the option for Local Users and Groups. Home does not. I've gone through the "help" and executed the wmimgmt.msc and the WMI will not give me any options to change, add or delete. Any other suggestions?

I believe what you are looking for can only be accessed in XP Home when in Safe Mode.

Thank you Miz. I will give that a try as soon as I get home.....at work is "pro" and working great....even with all these worms

I will reply back this evening after the "safe mode" attempt.

    Until then, thank you.

Suzette, I tried to go to mmc and add that snapin but it said that Home is not allowed to use it and I was to go to the User Accounts in Control Panel. If you want to add a snapin go to the run key and type MMC.
