    I need some help please.

I'm running IE 6.0 and windows ME.

Whenever I type something into a search box, or something of the like, I get a drop down with all of the things I've previously typed in. I think it's called auto-complete but I could be wrong.

Does anyone know how to disable this? I find it very annoying! I've tried clearing my history but it doesn't stop it.

    Thanks in advance!

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>Content tab>Auto Complete button and uncheck the appropriate boxes.

In addition, if you want to delete individual items from an online drop-down field, once the cursor is in that field, use the down arrow on the key board to both activate the drop-down menu and to select the one, or ones, you want to remove and press the delete key on the keyboard.

Thank you so much! I didn't think about clicking on that tab.

Theres alao another option to clear
start , settings, taskbar& start menu, advanced {clear)
"to remove records of recently accessed documents, programs
    and websites click clear. "

Or On IE's toolbar, tools,IE options, advanced ,uncheck use inline auto complete.

    Regards
