Changing my default

I am using incredimail as my default e mail server. However, when ever I get an e mail attachment it opens it in outlook express. Very often Outlook express will give me the admonition that this was an unsafe attachment and will not permit me to see it. Can I change Incredimail's default to something else?

Do you want to change the default back to OE?

If so what I belive you need to do is while Incredimail is still the default you need to open outlook and it should prompt you saying something like Outlook is not your deafult would you like to make it your default?

Tell it yes then while in OE go to

Tools>Options>Security and check to see if the "Do not allow attachements to be opened or viewed box is un checkmarked.. if it is check it and apply

This should cause OE to be your Default and stop you from not seeing the attachments you want to see

No, I would like to use some other default other than Outlook express. I wonder why Incredimail does itself not open it. ,I do not like Eudora, but It does open in Eudora

 

I had to edit this post, I went back and re-read yours. I'm confused. You open Incredimail, then open an email, within that email is an attachment, you click to open that attachment, and Outlook Express opens?

 

So am I confused. On the machine I was using attachments opened in Outlet express. On this one they open in Incredimail itself. Both computers are using Windows XP home edition. This is strange.

 

It sounds like Incredimail is not the default email client. I would recheck under IE, tools, internet options, programs, email, look if Incredimail is listed as a choice..
