Would you, please, quote an entire error?

It looks like you have a slight registry problem here.
"getmodulefilename" is a registry function, which directs startup program to its executable file.
It probably means, that in your startup you have a program, which doesn't exist anymore, is corrupted, or a path leading to it is corrupted.
I would begin with restarting your computer in DOS mode, and at a DOS prompt type:
    scanreg /fix (there is a space between "scanreg ", and "/ ")
    Hit Enter.

Lots & lots of possible causes here.

I never even made the Unitstall files. Cause I have never had good luck either. I put XP Pro over 98SE.

Which version of 98 did you put XP over top of ?

Which version of XP did you use ? Home or Pro ?

Did you have all required XP drivers on hand BEFORE you started the install ?

Did you attempt to upgrade over the existing OS in and ATTEMPT to fix problems ? If so then that is a NO-NO. Especially if the probelms happen to involve hardware.

Did you set the Video back to the Standard VGA 16 color setup before attempting the upgrade. ?

Did you RE-INSTALL any motherbaord drivers that may be required ASAP after the upgrade ?

Did you possibly have Symantec Products installed and did not un-install them before upgrading. Especilly Norton Anti-Virus Some older versions of Norton ARE NOT XP compatable.

It may not be a bad idea to format and do a fresh install of Win98, you may have other problems down the road as this is a very rare error message, and should not occur.
It seems to me that there would be more to this message other than just "getmodulefilename ".
