messenger auto sign on

after i sign out from msn messenger 6.0,exit the icon in the tray,at times i even restart the computer,BUT when i start the messenger,it automatically sign me in without keying in the password. went to tools,option,general,UNTICKED automatic sign in,then i sign out messenger again,close everything n restart the computer again.
BUT when i start the messenger,it automatically sign me in AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!

where did i go wrong ?????????????
mine is a FAMILY PC n i wants to have some privacy.

 

Try going to Tools -> Options -> Privacy and tick "This is a shared computer so dont display my tabs "

oh.........forgot to mention,i'm using win xp pro with ALL the latest updates. maybe it's cause by 1 of the updates ?

 

you always turn msn off, start,run , msconfig,start up tab and untick msn.When you restart a screen will appear tick the box and say yes.
You will have to then when you want to use msn go to start programs and start it from there

 

it's not WHEN i want to start it, it's the PASSWORD that cannot be erased. the messenger remember the p/w n log me in automatically when i start it.

 

Try this. In Outlook Express (I know we're talking about ms messenger here) click tools>options and on the general tab uncheck the line that says automatically log on to windows messenger.

 

kiasuteo, try this:

Go into Control Panel -> User Accounts.

Click your account name.

Top left of the window click "Manage my network passwords" and delete all the account addresses.

Start messenger, but once your address and password is entered dont click "remember my password ".

That should sort you.
