When I go to my documents\my pictures and try to view them some say 'preview not available'. It has happened in 2 different folders. The rest are fine. In both the thumbnails show up fine in Explorer. In details view one folder shows all "0's" for the file sizes, in the other folder, file sizes show correctly, but neither can be viewed when double clicked. I also tried "open with" and tried Explorer, Adobe, and Win File and Fax Viewer.
PeteC just helped with another folder problem recently and I appreciate all your help. I am amazed with the amount of expertise here.
    Thank You
    Floyd

    File type

The are all jpg's. They worked earlier today. I was trying to copy them to a CD and something happened. I think I have a poltergeist in my puter.

I've really no idea how to deal with a poltergeist except perhaps to give it a good boot up the backside :)

So shut down the PC and boot it up again - i.e. a cold boot. Don't simply restart (warm boot) - If you have already rebooted since the problem arose ignore this. Many problems are solved by simply rebooting.

If this fails do a search for *.jpg files and see if those which are being difficult also exist elsewhere.

If you have a System Restore point prior to the problem arising you could try restoring the system to that point - may work.

    Hi Floyd

Long shot, but you could D/L Irfanview. The worse outcome is you would have a nice graphic viewer, that has many features. One of the BEST in the free category.
