volumecontrol mixer devices

    my volume control is gone I tried zip volume but it says my mixer devices are gone can someone please give me some help on getting my mixer devices back?:eek:

    Hi
    I presume you mean the yellow speaker icon has gone.
    This happened to me.
    I tried putting Sndvol32.exe in the Start up folder but this did not work because I think it is an integral part of the system tray.
    What I did is ran Scandisk in Safe Mode.
    It reappeared. If it had not my next step would have been to run sfc.
