    Hey ok heres the deal.

In one of my computer the boot partition got corrupt, so it no longer boots.

I have alot of personal files on here such as the only copy of pictures. I want to put this drive in my other tower and copy the files over. I can't really figure out how to do it though. I set the good drive as master and the bad one as slave in both bios and the jumpers, it just freezes up right before i would have to select user in windows.

I tried booting into safe mood and it freezes at mup.sys

Does anyone know a way to transfer these files? Thanks in advance.

First off, have you tried the recovery console to see if you can make the drive boot again? HOW TO: Install and Use the Recovery Console in Windows XP and look at the available commands. Fixboot comes immediately to mind as do several others.

If that doesn't work, please say what OS your other system is running.
