Is there any way to totally disable splash screens? I know with some programs you can type SplashScreen=0 as a value in the registry. But would that work with all progams, or only certain ones?

shadowhawk--I suspect it depends on the program and just where the start command for it is coming.
For example, ZoneAlarm's start command comes from zonealarm.exe which resides in
    C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\
However, the shortcut to zonealarm.exe resides, by default, in C:\WINDOWS\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp
And the Shortcut's Target line, if you do not want the splash, is
    "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zonealarm.exe" -nopopup -nosplash
If you wanted to see the splash it would read
    "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zonealarm.exe "
I have never looked to see what the keys for ZA look like in the Registry.

Added -nosplash to the command line and that did it. Now if I can just figure out how to get Mozilla to get out of my memory after I shut it down, we'll be all set.
