My system shut down spontaneously the other day, while on stand-by--no apps running, except Norton anti-virus and firewall. It also restarted itself. There was a message, but I didn't get a chance to read it. Everything is working OK as far as I can tell, but mostly all I do is 95% Microsoft Word and a little IE surfing. However, since the above, on start up I get message that Windows is trying to access TFP220, but doesn't recognize the file. If I bypass this step it seems to have no effect on the operations. Can anyone help me? Is there a potential problem? I cannot find the file on my hard drive. HP6636 Pavilion, Celeron CPU, 256 RAM, Win XP Pro.

I just went through that and had a trojan on my computer. Run MSConfig and see if you have webdav.exe in the startup. If you do your computer is infected with the SpyBot32 worm. If you have a firewall keep it up. If you have an anti virus program get the latest definitions and do a complete system scan. I use Norton's and it killed that nasty worm. Get the Windows update MiniB link referred to. This thing is spreading like crazy!!

Thanks! You people are terrific! I have been lazy about installing patches. Will get to work pronto.
