I would like to change the options when I right mouse click on a page on Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, I have a few gaming sites that show web pages when I do that. It's not a good thing to have at work, you know? How can I change that?

    OS: Windows XP
    Version: MSIE6.0

monkeyshine Hi welcome to Windows BBS

Do you feel comfortable with regedit ====editing and
backing up single keys beforehand .

Always mention the OS and version of IE when asking questions

No, I'm not too confident at all with Regedit( I really don't know what it is).

Well provided this right click menu item is the only thing wrong
you could get JV16's power tools, they recently went shareware
and are a little over priced, but you could use it for 30 days
Once installed open it then registry tools on the right panel you'll see IE context menu place a check next to unwanted item
    near the bottom click remove,
JV's registry tools are safe unless us users modify the default settings, so just do the IE context thing and exit out.

Don't be embarrassed about this it happens to all of us, my Mom came over one time got on the Internet and wala up popped a ****
site they had simply high-jacked a web address,
You might ask the others in your office I'm sure something like the context menu modification has happened to them to.

You really should have some protection the two programs at the bottom can cleanup after surfing SpyBot can protect against most baddies out there or immunize without having to run I the background. Adaware can to but would require a small fee
Both have free version in other words.

Good luck let us know of any other questions.

I should have mentioned to have all IE's close when you edit IE's r/click context menu with JV16 power tools :)
