Trying to install Corel Word Perfect version 6; using WIN98 SE as OS. It starts up with notice "Windows Messaging out of date and must be updated. Window Messaging Setup will now run. "

I click OK, things seem to be running the installation but then I get a notice of " Setup cannot access the required initialization file. "

That shuts everything down and I can go no further. What is this "Windows Messaging" but more important how do I get this software installed?

Just in case you're a Word Perfect fan looking for a problem-solving message board much like this one, WordPerfectUniverse is excellent.

Thanks fellas; that was a fast response. My wife thanks you; she insists on Word Perfect despite the fact that I also have Microsoft Word. I went to both URL's. One gave a way to add Windows Messaging from my CD: Tools/Oldwin95/Message folder and run Intl from sub-folder. Did so and it seems to have placed a logo on my desk top labeled "Inbox." Great except I still get the same messages when trying to load Word Perfect.

Also went to the Word Perfect forum URL and left a message there of my problems. This is a real bugaboo as all my wife wants is the word processor; she is not the least bit interested in all the add ons. Anyone want to trade the "Suite" for just Word Perfect?
