hello. i'm having a problem i don't really know how to fix. my friend just bought a dell laptop with xp home and is readily installing programs and updates, mostly with success. and update that installs automatically has had no problem downloading and installing, his problem occurs only when he visits the windows upate page (http://v4.windowsupdate.com).

he selects the updates he wishes to install and clicks 'install now,' which brings up the license agreement. but as you can see he cannot access the 'Accept' or 'Don't Accept' button. i tried hitting return and the space bar, thinking it might be focused by default--no luck. i also tried using a key command (alt+A, ctrl+A, alt+ctrl+A) to access it, but to no avail.

i've tried the pcmag message boards, http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot, and http://www.windows-help.net/WindowsXP/troub-08.html

if anyone has seen this before and knows how to help, that would be great. i haven't seen anything related in the search i did on these boards, but one person did reference a url for someone with a win98se problem to download a .cab file. would something like that help me? any ideas would be great. thanks so much.

    Try:

    Right-click anywhere on the Desktop.
    Go to Properties
    Go to Settings
    Go to Advanced
see that Normal Size (96 DPI) is selected
