screen that says messenger service

Help PLEASE! I keep getting large pop up screens that say "messenger service" at the top. I think it is adcaster program that is sending them out, I never go to the sites they have listed. NOW please tell me how to stop this!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I take it you're using XP. If so, click start>run and type services.msc and then click ok. In the window that opens on the right side find "messenger" . Double click it and where it says start up type choose disable. Note. This is not ms messenger so if you use that, this will have no effect on it.
