:( I got my wireless card active but I cannot access the internet. At one point AOL IM worked but not the browser. But that is intermittent. Any ideas? Thanks!

Sorry but this isn't going to be a helpful post to you. But if you want someone to help you, you will need to post alittle more information than what you have. But I'll ask you some questions and hope to get you in the right direction.

What kind of card is it??

What make is your wireless router??

Do you have all the right drivers installed??

Do you have WEP turned ON on your wireless router and the card, if so are they both using the same key??

Are you getting a good signal from your router to the card??

Is your router using DHCP, if so is your card configured for that??

And if you don't understand some of the questions, I and many others here, will be happy to answer.

    Holy

    The wireless is Linksys.

The router is also Linksys 2.4 802.11b.

I installed the software that came with the wireless card so I assume the drivers are installed. I have the wireless network working on my XP laptop.

    WEP is off.

    Signal is good.

    All set for DHCP.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

From both the 2K and an XP machine, please do the following and post the contents of the text files. Identify which info came from which machine and don't mask any of the values.

    start~run~cmd
ipconfig /all > c:\ipconfig.txt (note the space before and after the >)
