    Hello all,

My computer is 38 months old and only 2 months 'out-of-warranty'. For the past several weeks my clock has been losing time. I replaced the battery yesterday and, as of this evening, it has lost yet another 30 minutes. Have they gotten this down to cutting a warranty this close? Or does this stuff just happen to me as a test for the 'hereafter'???

I have changed the time through the Control Panel, as well as using BlueFivePair's InTime (for the past 3 years, obtw) to keep it synchronized, and now to no avail. Any ideas out there?

This is just one of those little things that I'm nit-picky as hell about.

As always, any and all ideas, sugestions and help will be greatly appreciated. :)

    TIA,

    Mike

    irdreed,

Thanks for the post. I meant to get back here yesterday and post what I found out but I didn't quite make it. Sleep, or the lack of it, is a powerful thing.

At any rate, I read the information contained in your link and shutting down the computer (in order to turn off the power to it due to severe thunderstorms in the area) seems to have fixed it. It has been powered up continuously for about four weeks, which is unusual for me. All is well now. :)

    Thanks again,

    Mike
