loaded windows me and now my drive space is going way down HELP

I put windows me on my computer and now my drive space is going down.Sometimes it goes up a little but goes right back down. I tried a virus scan and dont have any. I defraged and disk clean up. Nothing is helping. I dont want my puter to crash.

 

If you are that short of space, you should get a larger disk. ME uses more than 98 for a number of reasons, the chief one being System Restore.

Right-click My Computer, Properties and find where to decrease the amount of space used for SR.

Check your Internet Options and be sure only a small number of megs is used for Temp files.

I changed the megs as it was very high. But I am sorry I dont know what SR is nor did I find anything that said SR in my computer when I right clicked on it. But changing the megs didnt help. It is lower today then it was yesterday. Can you tell me anything else or what you mean about SR. Thanks

Our athelon was set for 1864 sr and we changed it to 1240. Will this be okay?
