How can I disable autodisconnect? It keeps disconnecting during downloads (usually after approx. 20 minutes). Thanks, Seamus.

Have you tried disabling idle disconnect at: tools > Internet Options > Connections tab > Settings button > Properties button > Dialing tab. Although if you're in the mddle of an active download, I wouldn't think IE would be disconnecting you.

I am assumming that we are dealing with a Dialup connections here.

You would not think so but it will. Somehow when downloading files it does not show the connection as being busy.

Also the ISP itself may be doing the Disconnecting.

What may be needed is a program the PINGS the connection every so often and makes it look busy.

When I was on Dial up I used to use the Atomic Clock Sync to check the time every 15 minutes.

I also used ICQ for awhile.
