    Another dumb question?

I use the clipboard quite often and understand it's function... but I'm lost about this one:
What is the purpose of Clipboard. EXE?

Clipbrd.exe is what your are describing. For instance if you copy text, it's stored in this program for you to paste.
To see, open clipbrd.exe. Then copy something. You will see it stored in clipboard.
I hope that answers it for you.

All the years and I never used it... well, guess I never needed it..

I just paste what I have on my clipboard to Composer or where ever. Really don't see a need in it but some do. I noticed a post from a person looking for it and just wondered what it was.

I always paste to Netscape Composer.. it has a spell check.. and I sure need that! I see that Clipboard.exe doesn't have a spell checker.

    Thanks :)

Clipboard.exe is the system program that transfers designated data to the space called clipboard, and it also inserts the clipboard data into designated area called by the user.
