    Hi

Well managed to get driver for modem, managed to download java to get into yahoo games - worries over, noooooooooo.

Things are okay until I go into a games room, then for some reason another window I have open wobbles a bit - only way I can describe it lol and also my mouse pointer wobbles too - any ideas please.

I am also getting window messenger service pop ups every 5 minutes and is driving me nuts.

Would be grateful for any help I can get

    Regards

    Joan

    Hello Joan,

I can help with Messenger, the other someone else will.

To shut down messenger service: start > run > type in services.msc

Scroll down to Messenger, double click and in the startup type drop down menu of the properties panel click on either manual or disabled.

Another way, always more than one, start > type msconfig > services tab > scroll down to messenger and uncheck the box next to it.

    Regards - Charles

What Java did you get? Sun's gave me the wobblies, too, in all applications, and it wasn't even Friday night ;)

    Hi

Thanks both for replying...managed to get rid of messenger. I have Sun Jave 1.4.1 TM2 Standard if that helps lol. If this is not the right Java, would be grateful for link to correct one, thanks.

    You might try using Microsoft's:
    http://www.boxermath.com/jvm_files.html

Then go to the Control Panel and uncheck the box in Sun's about integration into IE. This will make MS the default and allow you to keep Sun's, if needed.

You may then want to go to WindowsUpdate and get VM security updates.

See if that stops the wobblies.
